A RELIGION OF HEAVEN AND EARTH

“The excellence of religion may be demonstrated by the unity, compassion and love that it brings to all people. If this is true, then we can see with clarity that organized or institutionalized religion is a dismal failure.” JC Husfelt, D.D.

Welcome to our page on Divine Humanity. Down through the ages, the seekers of the mysteries of life and creation, in their questing for holiness (wholeness), have always searched for the elusive answers to the following questions: “Who Am I, Why Am I Here and Where Am I Going?” Many have believed, and some have not, the answer that Christianity has given to the first question, which is that you are born in sin as a sinful human being. And thus they have searched for meaning in all different ways and possibly in all the wrong places because they have never been given an alternative answer to this most basic of all spiritual/religious questions. In fact, it is probably most difficult to begin a spiritual quest not knowing one's true self or soul. Maybe this is one of the reasons that so many people grasp onto every “flavor of the week” New Age methodology that comes along. But back to the question and to an alternative answer to “Who Am I?”

Divine Humanity, as a religion of heaven and earth, believes that we are divine and we are human; not sinful and human, but divine and human. Divine Humanity, as a world religion of equality and simplicity, conveys a love for all forms of life and acknowledges everything in creation as divine as well as honoring it’s own unique intrinsic expression. Therefore, not only is every human being a divine human with the light, holy spark, of God within them but all trees are divine trees, all animals are divine animals, the earth is a divine earth. Everything is divine as well as having it’s own intrinsic expression. In other words, God is in us and we are in God. We are carriers of God and each other's brother and sister.

With this belief in divine interconnectedness, Divine Humanity emphasizes the need for caring, loving and respectful partnership…of ourselves, of others and of nature—every tree, blade of grass, every animal of the earth, every bird of the skies, every fish, every insect, the waters and every stone. Trees must put down roots, rooted to the earth. And so must humanity feel “rooted” or connected to Mother Earth not in stewardship but in partnership as a part of the earth not separate from or superior to the earth and all of it’s creatures.

Even though we refer to God (the Creator of Creators, the Oneness and the greatest Mystery of all Mysteries), we do not have any connection to any of the recognized institutionalized religions. We are cross-cultural and bring the old wisdom of the earth-based traditions as well as the heaven-based knowledge and we bring you a message of a new but really old religion, non-dogmatic and open to all of humanity.

NATURE IN PARTNERSHIP

Nature in partnership is one of the hallmarks of Divine Humanity. It acknowledges the equality and divinity of nature and the realization that humanity is not above nature, as a steward, or below nature, at the mercy of it, but is one with nature and in partnership with the earth in co-creating a paradisiacal state of life, for all life.

The earliest religious leaders that recognized a partnership with nature were the shamans, kahunas and druids of old. In their on-going quest to maintain harmony, within each individual and within the community at large, they understood the necessity of honoring the earth and the heavens. As they taught their people to love each other, as they love themselves, they knew that the love and the honor that they showed to nature would be returned to them many times over. All of their rituals and ceremonies were therein conducted with the intent of love and respect and a focus on creating and maintaining caring harmonious relationships.

THE GOLDEN AGE/THE SIXTH SUN

The dawn of a new age is upon us. As a human race, we are walking out of the darkness of the past thousands of years approaching the light timidly as only one can after being imprisoned for so long in a shadowy corrupt world ruled by fear and materialism. These past millennia have been a time of a religious darkness that witnessed gatekeepers, in the form of priests, popes, rabbis, mullahs, between the people and the 'Mysteries of Creation'/God.

As we examine our spiritual history, we bring a new message: Each and every person comes from a divine lineage as well as a human one. Each person is both divine and human. Each person, as divine, has direct access to God and the mystical without going through an intermediary. And because each person is also human, in accessing the divine, a person may filter the knowledge through their own ego, such as ones biases and expectations, with the result that the objective divine truth becomes the subjective human opinion. This concept, applied to religious texts, brings us insight into sacred writings. Sacred scripts are both the ‘word’ of God (divine) as well as the word of Man (human). Every text may be sacred as well as profane. Because some texts may be more sacred than others, it is up to each individual to determine which words have been divinely inspired or humanly filtered. For the reason that all writings contain the seeds of divinity as well as humanity, there can be no one sacred text that is innately superior to any other.

The best tools for making any determination of truth are intuition and reason. In figurative terms, intuition may be viewed as centered in the heart and reason as originating in the mind. In metaphysical teachings, the sun symbolizes our hearts and the moon our minds. The moon has no intrinsic light of it’s own but relies on the sun for it’s illumination and most importantly, it’s reflection. With this being true and considering that light is the most common symbol for knowledge; solar light (the heart) represents direct knowledge, which may be termed ‘heart knowledge’ while lunar light (the mind) corresponds to reflective knowledge. Our hearts know intuitively divine truth while our minds can only find reason through discursive knowledge and cannot function properly except through the guidance of the higher intellect of our hearts. In other words our heart and our mind must work together to determine truth.

We hope that you will find truth in Divine Humanity and accept it as your religion and religious philosophy. Below you will find links to further learn about Divine Humanity as well as a link to our Sacred Science page, which as humanly possible proves the existence of the Great Mystery of Mysteries—God. Thank you and enjoy.

Even though Divine Humanity is a religious philosophy of spirituality, and of the individual, we realize that gathering together with others of similar beliefs is very important to a person’s spiritual and personal development. Divine Humanism is not an institutional or organized religion. Divine Humanism does not have a hierarchy or dogmatic creeds of behavior and worship. Each person is responsible for their own spiritual growth, for their own divineness, and for their own humanness. However, we do have guidelines for any person that is interested in conducting Divine Humanity Community Circles. If you are such a person and would like help in forming a community circle, please Contact Us or e-mail us at spirit@divinehumanity.com. We will then send you our guidelines, which will begin you, or continue you, on a path of service to the heavens, to the earth and to humanity. Thank you.

We leave you with a quote from Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

"With forgiveness our seeds take root and produce the vines that through divine love bear flowers and fruit… with peace and harmony we tend the flowers and pick the fruit and with oneness we eat the fruit and share with all others as brothers and sisters…” Dr. JC Husfelt 1993
