A red luminous cloud appeared in the heavens at the completion of the six-day.
There is a sacred hula to The Water of Kane. It is written about this song..."If one asked what, to the English-speaking mind, constitutes the most representative romantico-mystical aspiration that has been embodied in song and story, doubtless he would be compelled to answer the Legend of the Holy Grail. To the Hawaiian mind the aspiration and conception that most nearly approximates to this is that embodied in the words... of The Water of Kane.” (The Unwritten Literature of Hawaii, Sacred Songs of the Hula.)
In this sacred hula...the red cloud is mentioned...and the translation is as follows: "Punohu” A red luminous cloud, or a halo, regarded as an omen pretending some sacred and important event.
