PROPHECY

There is a prophecy from both the North American and the South American First Nation people that relates to a time when: “the eagle and the condor fly together, the Age of Peace will manifest.” Many, but not all, of our teachings that we present to you have been passed on to us by the eagle (Vince and Mom Stogan—medicine elders of the Coast Salish) and the condor (don Eduardo Calderon—Peruvian Curandero) as well as many others such as Anselmo Perez—a Zinacantec Shaman, Antonio Koyoc Pat—Maya H-Men (shaman), Auntie Pua and Auntie Margaret (Hawaiian elders).

Feathered Serpent Medicine Apprenticeship

Through our Apprenticeship, a student will receive direct source mystical knowledge from age-old traditions based on the power of the earth and the heavens.

The shamanic adventurer will experience the ancient rites of passage that involve expanded consciousness and vision. Through these initiation practices, we will plant the seeds to awaken your connection with nature, to learn the shaman's way of ‘seeing,’ and explore trance states as well as conscious dreaming. Together we experience what is meant when the Eagle soars with the Condor.

Our Feathered Serpent Medicine Apprenticeship is a comprehensive cross-cultural exploration of ‘First Knowledge.’ It is knowledge that is weaved throughout and found in the ‘first people’ indigenous spiritual/religious traditions on this earth. ‘First Knowledge’ is the spiritual foundation knowledge of various indigenous cultures world-wide.

Our Apprenticeship consists of three ‘gateways’ (stages) of self-development leading to the mastery of ‘First Knowledge:’

1. Apprentice—three years of continuous study resulting in Ordination as a healer and spiritual counselor.
2. Personal Apprentice—this is the beginning stage for mastery. This ‘gateway’ is completed when a Personal Apprentice has received his/her ‘spirit song.’
3. Master—this is the ‘gateway’ of mastery where an apprentice discovers the power of ‘mindsong’ and receives the transmission of power and authority of ‘First Knowledge’ and becomes a Feathered Serpent.

This program explores the mysteries of life and self, non-dogmatic spirituality and ancient shamanic and healing traditions appropriate for the new millennium.  The Apprenticeship's purpose of sharing the knowledge and wisdom of the shaman is accomplished through a supportive and safe environment of love, trust and community. It offers an opportunity for a journey towards wellness, harmony and inner healing so that individuals may discover their own personal empowerment and deepen their experience of being divine (feathered) as well as human (serpent).

Participation in three consecutive years of the Apprenticeship is necessary for ordination. The Apprenticeship builds on the experience and teachings from the previous year allowing apprentices to go deeper into their personal search for their connection with the secret and the sacred. However, after the first year, an apprentice may complete their Apprenticeship at that point.

The Serpent Path of the South:

This is the path of personal healing where we learn to shed the past and release the emotional entanglements of anger, resentment and guilt. We begin to walk in beauty by reclaiming our power, as we become the wounded healer.

The Jaguar Path of the West:

This is the path of the Mystic Warrior-the Luminous Warrior. It is here where we face our death and step beyond fear, uncertainty and doubt that limit our lives. Here we are transformed into the Luminous Spiritual Warrior.

The Hummingbird Path of the North:

This is where we learn the way of the Ancient Ones by stepping outside of time with the death of ego. We live in the timeless now, in a state of awakening. Hummingbirds are sun angels-light-bearing messengers. As the teacher, we take our message of light (knowledge) to the ones shrouded in darkness (ignorance).

After three-years of our Apprenticeship, we complete with celebration and, if one chooses, a legally recognized spiritual ordination as a healer and spiritual counselor—a shaman-priest (female and male). Each year the Apprenticeship consists of two intensive trainings of five and six days with three additional Saturday trainings spread throughout the year. Lodging and meals are included. Participation in all three years of the Apprenticeship is necessary for ordination. However, after the first year, a student may complete their Apprenticeship at that point.

The Morning Star—The Extraordinary Difference

Our Apprenticeship roots extend back to 1989 when it began on the east coast as one of the first shamanic apprenticeships in the country:

·         Our training is hard, for the vigorous spiritual seeker, with un-believable transformation

·         We hold teaching and healing authority from various spiritual/shamanic lineages—one
being the Pacific Northwest Spiritual/Shamanic Tradition passed on to us by Coast Salish Elders Mom & Vince Stogan-Medicine Holders

·         We teach and conduct the ceremonies and healings the way that they have been done in the Pacific Northwest and the Americas for thousands of years

·         We are not workshop/seminar/Reiki/New Age trained

·         We do however have 25 plus years of shamanic and healing experience in the mountains, jungles, beaches, temples and village huts of the world training and working with indigenous medicine people on their home turf

·         We teach, heal and conduct ceremony the 'old way' out in nature submerging in streams, chanting under waterfalls, talking to animals and working with fire without being burnt

·         Nature responds to the power of the spiritual work and our students have tangibly witnessed: guardians appear, rivers rise, stones triple in size glowing with light, eagles gather, rainbows shine, angels visit, spirit songs sung and old-earth energies awaken

·         We teach and guide on-going Spiritual Apprenticeship Communities on the East and West coasts

·         We conduct spiritual journeys and sacred pilgrimages worldwide: Japan, Hawaii, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, the British Isles, and France

Concurrent with this spiritual experience and training, JC holds a doctorate degree and over the past 30 years has been a wellness consultant to Fortune 50 Corporations and Government such as the U.S. Senate and the Presidents Council on Physical Fitness and Sport.
