20 October 2004 Day Seven – A Step to Power/Journey to
Belize
“Your thoughts determine your reality. The world is what you
think it is. A wasteland in the mind creates a wasteland around you. A blooming
paradise in the mind creates a blooming paradise.”
Spoken by Feathered
Serpent Jaguar, the Lord Capt’n as written in The Morning Star Chronicles in
the age of transition prior to the dawning of the sixth sun.
Sergia greeted the adventurers next morning as they sat in
the dining hall waiting for breakfast.
He was a bright and cheerful native who sang and danced the Punta to
entertain his guests as he moved between the tables taking orders and serving
hot dishes of delicious food. Tenamaxtli had shown considerable interest in
learning the ancient custom of dancing the Punta and had tried in vain to find
someone worthy and willing to teach him. Here was Sergia willing and able, but
Tenamaxtli preferred a beautiful woman and so decided to keep looking.
The Lord Capt’n summoned everyone at mid morning to prepare
for a journey to meet Kukulcan the Feathered Serpent. It took great courage to
embark upon this journey into the unknown and each adventurer held fast to our
Sword of Fearlessness.
We were led along the river to an area of the Jungle that
was unique to each adventurer – some saw towering temples, others saw small
huts – some had a guardian by their side, others were alone. And as we stood
waiting we heard the thrashing in the foliage, we saw what came out of the
jungle, and we were taken to a sacred world rarely visited. The testing of the
Gods had proven us strong of spirit, pure of heart and worthy once again.
We returned to our lodgings hungry and tired and Kurupani,
Maruuani, Ixinatsi, Mixtin, Ameyatl and Tapachini ate a delicious dinner
together under a palm tree in the cool evening breeze by the ocean.
The Lord and his Queen with Tenamaxtli and Citlali enjoyed a
meal together under a nearby Palm tree by the ocean. Pakapeti and Kevari spent
the evening quietly together.
News from the outside world reached the adventurers of a
long awaited victory between two rivals that had battled together for many long
years. The news excited Ameyatl as her husband supported the victors and she
knew that he must be thrilled to finally vanquish such a mighty opponent after
all those years of loosing the battle. Maruuani, on the other hand, knew that
her husband would be beating his chest and moaning in sorrow to see his mighty
team of warriors fall after being victorious over their hated rivals since long
before his birth. News of the upset spread quickly around the world.
