21 October 2004 Day 8 – A Step to Power/Journey to Belize
“Love can make it all happen. We come to our Earth journey because in the heavens we can’t
experience physical love, sexual intertwining, hot fudge sundaes, the smell of
lilacs, the crescendo of a symphony.”
Spoken by Feathered Serpent Jaguar, the Lord Capt’n as
written in The Morning Star Chronicles in the age of transition prior to the
dawning of the sixth sun.
As our fearless adventure neared the end, we were given a
day to explore the magical world of Belize. With the words “spend money, you
are shopping for your Ku” ringing in our ears, we all set off for a day of
exploration and commerce.
Kurupani, Maruuani, Ixinatsi, Mixtin, and Tapachini braved
the wonders of the ocean in a wondrous boat named Seanir (yes part of the
southern branch of magical steeds). They viewed enormous sea turtles and swam
in the coral reefs to enjoy the world, which is rarely seen from above the
surface. Fish of wondrous colors reveal themselves only to those who venture
forth into this world. The adventurers next went on to swim with the deadly and
dangerous nurse sharks and stingrays. And it is lucky that they did so for they
paved the pathways for those of the group planning to embark on this adventure
at a later time. Eventually all the travelers found themselves in town, some
traveling by bicycle, and others by taxi.
And a most miraculous occurrence happened on this day.
Ameyatl had birthed a great treasure but had paid a painful toll in her labors.
On this day, Pakapeti sang to Ameyatl words of healing and power and from this,
Ameyatl set forth to request a healing from Nocheztli and Petsikuri, the
greatest living healers on earth at this time.
With spirits singing and winds dancing Nocheztli and
Petsikuri worked their magic and called forth the healing magic of this place
and time and of their power. And a great battle enjoined. Capt’n Nocheztli with
Queen Petsikuri at his side battled a great serpent that had been living in
Ameyatl’s hip. The serpent fought back and brought forth for Ameyatl great
pain, but the Capt’n remained steadfast, calling forth the serpent and forcing
it to face him.
When finally the serpent revealed itself, the battle grew
even more heated and fierce. The Capt’n and the elder serpent fought for a day and a
night. Finally with the power of Capt’n Nocheztlis’ spirit and song and the
magical essence of the red paint, the serpent was vanquished with such power
that it was never to appear on this plane again.
And so it happened that Ameyatl who had been in great pain
and suffering, transformed into a magical being of energy and vibrancy and there
effected a great healing. Another healer of the lodge, known as “the king” was
much amazed and astounded by Ameyatl’s transformation and healing.
And a great hue and cry of joy went up for it could truly be
said that Ameyatl who had been crippled was now healed. From this day forth,
Ameyatl, Flowing Hummingbird Priestess Who Stands Strong has returned in all
her beauty and all her glory. Some came to know her as Ameyatl, Flowering
Hummingbird Priestess Who Stands Strong.
That evening, many of our adventurers got together for a
last time to reminisce and share their wondrous experiences. Sadly, Citlali
missed this final meeting for she had been felled (temporarily) by the great
sun’s rays, which she had so neatly vanquished previously in Lamanai. Luckily, however, it was but a minor setback
before she once again gained victory.
Expansive of tongue on this evening of sweet sadness, each
journeyer read a tome of their becoming. And to complete, Pakapeti read the
poem that the community had written on the becoming of the community while
Tapachini added strains of music so beautiful that it brought tears of joy to
this chronicler’s eyes. And the poem is set forth hence:
A beautiful multicolored tapestry
With divine interwoven threads
Of light and darkness
Silk and wool
Wrapping the wounded and
Healing the warrior,
Honoring the teacher
Blessing the visionary and
Celebrating our oneness.
The evening ended in great merriment with a celebratory
dinner and much grog and ale. Much to the amazement of his astounded mother,
Tapachini set the record straight with the Lord Capt’n on how he was to be
addressed when the Lord Capt’n needed privacy.
“So what do you say to me when you want privacy?” Tapachini
questioned Nocheztli.
“Go to your mother!” thundered Nocheztli.
“No”, responded Tapachini, while his mother cringed and
waited lightening to strike down her young son.
Calmly and in good humor, Nocheztli laughed and responded,
“Tapachini, I need some privacy.”
At this young Tapachini nodded in approval and was at peace.
Many of the assembled group retired early after much
celebration. Maruuani, Ixinatsi and Tenamaxtli sought out halls for dancing but
upon finding them all closed for the evening, they finally enjoyed the beach and
many pints of grog in the company of “the king”.
And so the final night together was filled with joy and
happiness and the journeyers dreamt the dreams of completion.
