THE ORDER OF THE DRAGON

Welcome to our page on Black Belt Training. Our Two Year Black Belt Program is based on over four decades of exhaustive research and successful, practical experience. This research and experience has lead us to believe that martial and spiritual studies and abilities interpenetrate just as we believe that spirit and matter, our sacred self and profane self and body and mind interpenetrate and are non-dual. This means that a holistic approach to black belt training would include in-depth spiritual training as well as martial training with an emphasis on tharros, which means courage and aphobia or fearlessness.

This methodology follows the enduring concept of knighthood exemplified by the Spartan Knights. Spartan culture had religious cults based on the concepts of Fear, Sleep, Death, Laughter, Desire, and Hunger. There was also another one called Aidos (Reserve). Only in the case of Phobos (Fear) can we be sure there was a temple building, suggesting that Phobos was particularly important to Spartan thinking. Since Aidos is closely related, the same may be true of it. These may be the only constructs that had actual temples and may have been particularly important.

Aidos also means silence and it was a form of non-verbal communication at Sparta. Group silence contributed to the training of Spartans. For Plato, Spartan silence operates as a marker of respect and high esteem to seniors and elders.

We must also turn our attention as well to the Japanese Warrior concepts of Fudoshin and mu-shin. This is mastery encoded within two words, both with an ocean of meaning and understanding, this is the immovable mind of no mind. The highest level of martial and spiritual skill is only attainable through a mind that is present with total sensory input (without mind chatter - no mind) but detached—a mind/heart that is ever flowing but does not attach and thus remains immovable.

This concept, the immovable mind of no mind, is seldom acknowledged and/or applied in our current, supposedly advanced, era of separation and ecological destruction. Without a spirit rooted in the oneness of heart/mind/body, our concept remains an interesting foreign exercise in intellectual musings that rings with the hidden hollowness of ones words and actions, which in all ways reveals a lack of respect for self and others.

In purely self-defense circumstances, the strength of ones heart and mind without the burden of fear will determine a positive outcome. This is more essential to ones safety, confidence and well-being than years of artificial, un-realistic, commercial, competitive types of martial arts training.

Dojo—‘Place of the Way.’ The Sanskrit translation is: Bodhi manda—‘mandala of Awakening’—a place where Awakening occurs. The esoteric meaning is a ‘holy place of learning and practicing the Way.’

We believe that many martial art dojos talk about a spiritual side to their training but few ‘walk’ this talk. A little relaxation/meditation done before and/or after training does not qualify in our minds. One of the secrets to a student/teachers martial and spiritual power, especially healing power, is their ability to have an immovable mind—a detached state but with full sensory input. This type of mind power is best forged out in nature under ascetic (hard) elemental training. Few dojos conduct this form of spiritual training. But we do!

Two Year Black Belt Program
in Martial and Spiritual Studies

Our program is very appropriate for successful professionals that have the drive and maturity to ‘focus’ and achieve a Black Belt (a dream that possibly was put aside for family and career).

  • Receive a Black Belt in Tenchijin Shintō Ryu Bujutsu
  • Receive a certificate as a 1st degree spiritual healer and practitioner of Komo Hi Ryu Jujutsu (‘Mysterious, Secret’ School of Jujutsu)
  • Required participation in an approved Tenchijinho Dojo and Apprentice Program
  • At the end of two years student is eligible to test—passing and receiving the degrees are not guaranteed and may require further months of training
  • At the end of a third year of continuous training a student may be ordained as a martial esoteric priest of Fudōchi Shinmyōdō (Way of Immovable Heavenly Wisdom) of the One Earth Church.

Tenchijin Shintō Ryu Bujutsu is a comprehensive fighting method. Tenchijinho and Tenchijin Shintō Ryu Bujutsu are the martial systems of Divine Humanity and Komo Hi Ryu Jujutsu and Fudōchi Shinmyōdō are the martial esoteric systems of Divine Humanity.

Our program is not a ‘pay the money and buy a black belt’ or is it an internet video black belt program. Our program is not for the masses and demands focus and dedication. If you are interested in our program, please Contact Us or e-mail us at – spirit@divinehumanity.com.
