DIVINEHOOD/FEATHERED-SERPENTHOOD

Divine Humanity believes in the attainment of Divinehood (in an archetypal context—Feathered-Serpenthood—a Sun of God) in our present incarnation in both the body and mind, just as we are here and now, in our untransformed, impure and imperfect state. However, this does not mean that we automatically awaken to our divinity and in the next breath attain Divinehood. It means that Divinehood lies innate within each of us until awakened—this is the hidden Divine Nature—Sun of God - the Holy Grail.
The process of attaining Divinehood follows the ageless and tested formula of initiation, ascetic (difficult) work and transmission, which in our case would be the awakening and attainment of Divinehood.
Initiation is the acceptance of Divine Humanity as one of our basic beliefs and a guiding principle in our life—the acceptance in the divineness of all things and their intrinsic worth and identity. This engenders love, compassion and respect for all things in the universe. This is the beginning of the realization that the divine and all things (sentient beings) interpenetrate radically non-dualistically (non-dual interpenetration—Oneness) and that all things have a consciousness.
Ascetic work is the core of Divinehood or Feathered-Serpenthood. It is the process of opening and awakening our heart/mind. I prefer to use the term Feathered-Serpenthood due to its archetypal imagery of the oneness or union of heaven (feathered) and earth (serpent). As well, it reflects my own experiences, initiations, ascetic training and transmissions of power from various indigenous cultures’ elders/shamans. Feathered-Serpenthood (Divinehood) is a Fourfold Path embracing Three Noble Expressions—The Three Pillars of Light and Two Great Teachings.
The Fourfold Path is structured as an earth/heaven medicine wheel or mandala that is anchored in the ability to ‘let go’ or detach from the emotional, mental and physical enemies such as stupidity, ignorance, arrogance, guilt, anger and fear, the mental illusion of ego and the spiritual separation of self:
- The Serpent Path of the South—Mastery of Release (Forgiveness). This is the path of personal healing where we learn to shed the past and release the emotional entanglements of anger, resentment and guilt. We begin to walk in beauty by reclaiming our power, as we become the wounded healer. This is the realm of Forgiveness.
- The Jaguar Path of the West—Mastery of Transformation (Death and Re-birth). This is the path of the Mystic Warrior—the Luminous Warrior. It is here where we face our death and step beyond fear and the uncertainty and doubt that lives within us. Here we are re-born as a Luminous Warrior. This is the realm of Divine Love.
- The Hummingbird Path of the North—Mastery of Mind (Detachment). This is where we learn the way of the Ancient Ones by stepping outside of time with the death of ego. We live in the timeless now, in a state of awakening unfettered to the past, to fear, or to death. This is the realm of Peace and Harmony. Hummingbirds are sun angels—messengers of light. As the teacher, we take our message of light (knowledge) to the ones shrouded in darkness (ignorance).
- The Eagle/Condor Path of the East—Mastery of Vision (Oneness). In the East, we learn to see with our heart. It is here where we see thru the illusion of separateness to the reality of oneness. This is the path of the ‘shining being,’ known in old English as Elf. This is where you become ‘Ollin,’ where your heart becomes your face.
- The Center - The Fifth Direction: Feathered Serpent—Divine Human—Sun of God—It is in the East where we awaken and discover the gateway that leads into the center of the mandala or medicine wheel - the Fifth Direction. With an impeccable spirit, we must enter through this gate and travel to the center. It is only in the center where we receive divine transmission and attain our Feathered-Serpenthood as a Sun of God.
