Honoring of Dr. Husfelt’s 60th birthday
City Hall, Delphi, Greece, August 29, 2006
“The
winds speak to all whose mind is still and uncluttered…with Oneness being the
sacred beauty of words unspoken.” JC Husfelt 1989
Welcome
to our page on Sacred Journeys. I vividly remember the first time the wind
spoke to me. It told me nothing profound in words, because it was talking
wind-talk. But the Oneness and beauty I
experienced as I listened to its Being was beyond the normal range of
communication. I was One with the wind, and as one and the same, the sacred
beauty of its song was revealed to me in all its essence.

Since
the dawn of time seekers of the Mystery have made pilgrimages to sacred sites
pursuing true knowledge, wisdom and power always open to the potentiality of
communing with the elements and becoming one with nature and the mysteries of
life. To these spiritual questors sacred places of power facilitated for them a
relationship with the Otherworld. Here they discovered the energies that truly
inspired, transformed and healed them. In searching for the Mystery, these
pilgrims developed greater spiritual growth and were gifted with a closer
relationship with the Divine.

Pilgrimage,
a sacred journey of the soul, is a spiritual magnet drawing one from the inner
to the outer and the outer to the inner. For centuries pilgrims have left the
comfort and safety of home and familiar surroundings and ventured out into the
unknown on a quest in search of knowledge, power and ultimate enlightenment.
This journey of soul allows the pilgrim the opportunity to breath, eat and
sleep a spiritual adventure of discovery, love and wonderment, which fulfills a
longing, sometimes hidden, in the depths of our heart to quest, as the hero,
and return to the Mother and experience a rebirth of the heavens and the earth.

A
sacred journey is one of the corner stones of spiritual development. As a
pilgrim you become freed from the bonds of time and space and the attachment of
common life. Pilgrimage takes the seeker into a more intimate experience of
magical re-birth and transformation. The more that you can move from your
mundane world, the closer you come to the realm of the divine. The magical
mists of a world that stays hidden from ones ego opens its gate to the pilgrim
that sincerely searches for the truth. It is possible to experience the sacred
environment as an eternal human being dwelling in the divine.

Today
such a sacred journey may help you experience this primordial/spiritual essence
and acquire a sense of clarity, peace, love and vision. The way to true
knowledge and wisdom is through direct and personal experience, which may bring
to light a glimpse of the divine. In this way the journey is transformational
and allows at each transformational moment an opportunity to experience the
divine and embrace the essence of one’s soul and spirit, which is One with the
Mystery. A mystery is not to be solved like a riddle but allows a “knowing”
that transcends the cognitive mind. Through the initiation of personal
experience, the brilliant light of knowledge is revealed to the heroic questor.

Beginning
in the mid 1980’s, The Morning Star has been guiding and assisting people on
journeys in reaching their highest potential of heart, mind and spirit. All
sacred journeys are rites of passage; the Morning Star assists you in crossing
the threshold from the secular to the sacred. All of our journeys are for one’s
own empowerment, growth and healing and include lecture, various experiential
exercises, empowerments, quests and initiations. (All activities are optional.)
We usually keep a mythical chronicle of our journeys as a remembrance and as a
gifting for each participant. (Please see The Myth of the Sacred Millennial Journey.) The five primary pilgrimage destinations are: the
United Kingdom, France, the Mediterranean and Greece, Mexico and Hawaii.

We
believe that a Spiritual/Religious Leader that has not answered this call of
sacred journey is one in name only. It is for this reason as well as many
others that pilgrimage is required of a Divine Humanity Spiritual/Religious
Leader.

JC
and Sherry have been referred to as “magicians who are able to take a group of
people into the dimensions of their souls—fluid dancers that know where a group
needs to go!”
