2004 Spiritual Day Treks

Are you looking for a deeper spiritual connection with the earth, sea and the sky? If so, then join us for day treks in the Olympic National Park and Forest. We will explore the spirit of the Pacific Northwest through storytelling and experiential activities as we trek through this most magical landscape.

The love of the land and the sea is woven throughout the myths and the legends of the First Nations People that lived and communed throughout and with this most sacred part of paradise. Their songs are still alive today held within the essence of the bubbling of a stream, in the whisper of the wind or in the cry of a raven. One may hear and know if one listens with the heart.

The Pacific Northwest, a rain glistening, golden-lit landscape, is reminiscent of the mythical land of Lothlorien from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth trilogy, the Lord of the Rings. It is a special place where magic lives and Elves may very well dwell. As cousins to the Angels, Elves are a bridge connecting nature and spirit and live in that space between the material and the spiritual dimensions. On our treks we will explore this sacred space between matter/nature and spirit and hopefully learn to walk in both dimensions.

We do not live within the green lushness of the Amazonian rainforest nor do we wander the plains of the Serengeti. But we do live within the magic and the power of a spiritual tradition that dates back in time for Millennia. And we do live and play within the mountains and sea that gave birth to this great Northwest Coast Spiritual Tradition. Join us and experience the magic and power of this most sacred land.

Easy trekking for ages twelve and older. Fee: $45. Family Fee: $35 per person. Our 2004 Spiritual Day Treks depart from Port Ludlow, Washington at 9:00 AM beginning in May. Dates TBA.
