THE MYSTIC WARRIOR (SAGE)

"Discipline your body, Grasshopper, that you may find a greater power… Those who surrender themselves find inner strength... When the heart knows no danger, no danger exists. When the soul becomes the warrior all fear melts as the snowflake that falls upon your hand." - Master Po

"'How does one find the strength within himself?' - Caine
'By being one with all that is without himself.'" - Master Po

"That prevails which refuses to know the power of the other. Where fear is, does not danger also live? And where fear is not, does not danger also die? Where the tiger and the man are two, he may die. Yet where the tiger and the man are one there is no fear. There is no danger. For what creature, one with all nature, will attack itself." - Master Po

From the TV series Kung Fu, episode 5—The Soul Is the Warrior, First Broadcast on ABC, February 8, 1973

The holy warrior is in truth the mystic warrior (sage), a spiritual philosopher that brings oneness to the chaotic separateness of life. This wise one has been a healer as well as a warrior that has quested through the mountains and the valleys of the earth ever being the spiritual truth-seeker focusing on a life pilgrimage that has embraced the experiential knowledge and wisdom of the unknown and the unity of creation. This is the evolution of the mystic warrior birthed from the waters of the mother and nurtured by the winds of the father.

This mystic is a pilgrim of heart with a spirit tempered to a fine vibration through the earth and the heaven’s fires of chaos and wings of order. With a courageous sun, brilliantly shining, the mystic warrior brings a light to the moon of others as a guide for the ones mired in the muddy swamp of life’s illusions. A riddle are they, to all that listen, and only a few ever do. But then, that is the role of the mystic ever sowing the seeds of discovery to be watered by the few.

The earth is but a reflection of the heavens, the mystic warrior would say. Listen to the rushing of the streams water, or the tumbling spray of the mighty fall, and then you will know, the sound of the roaring wheels of fire tumbling through the sacred land of the angels.

“From the esoteric collection of Dr. Husfelt”

Fudochi, an immovable wise heart, is the province of the mystic warrior. A land that few ever enter, as it is hidden in the recess of the light of the boundless love of oneness, even though it is spread before them, fear and the supposed separateness of life prevail by hiding the gateway to this Shangri-La of truth.

You must venture out to truly venture in and you must venture in to truly venture out, says the mystic. There must be constant motion in your immovability, and if not, the earth morns and the heavens cry at the lost of a protector of light. And what do you choose?

A life patterned after the greedy materialistic culture of our present day capitalistic society, or one modeled after the archetypal mystic warrior such as Kung Fu's Master Po or Star War's Jedi master: Yoda or J.R.R. Tolkein's warrior - wizard: Gandalf - the White.

It is your choice.
