The White Mountain Martial Art Hakusan Dojo presents a very
special blending of the martial (Bumon—masculine force Yo [Yang])
and spiritual (Shūmon—feminine
force In [Yin]) that is based on the traditional arts of bujutsu
and koryu bugei—warrior traditions. This is the art of the immovable
spirit symbolized by the sacred white mountain of lore and legend. Dr. JC Husfelt
brings to the art 40 years of experience, knowledge and mastership of various
martial and spiritual traditions.

From the esoteric collection of Dr. Husfelt
Dr. JC Husfelt believes that the foundation stone,
and the key to martial and spiritual mastership, is a strong mind, a gentle and
whole heart and a fearless spirit. These qualities are immovable—a mind that
does not attach, a heart that stays pure (fudō shin) and a spirit that
is indomitable. These are the focus of the White Mountain Martial Art.

In addition, Dr. Husfelt considers that the ultimate mastery of the mind/heart is achievable only through rigorous training, soul-searching and the forging of our spirit (seishin taren) through the confrontation and the overcoming of our fears, desires and perceived limitations.

The White Mountain Martial Art Hakusan Dojo Training is based on Tenchijinhō - "Eternal Truth of Cosmic Unity" and includes studies in Fudōchi Shinmyōdō - "Way of Immovable Heavenly Wisdom," Onmyōdō - "Way of Mystical Oneness"
and Tenchijin Shintō Ryu Bujutsu. Tenchijin Shintō Ryu Bujutsu
includes training in the
traditional ryuha of Gyokko Ryu Koshijutsu, Koto Ryu Koppojutsu, Shinden Fudo Ryu Dakentaijutsu, Takagi Yoshin Ryu Jutaijutsu, Kukishin Ryu Bujutsu and Asayama Ichiden Ryu Taijutsu as
part of its curriculum.
Gyokko-ryu Koshijutsu is one of the oldest documented
martial arts in Japan. Gyokko means “Tiger’s Ball” with the esoteric
translation as “Tiger’s Pearl.” Takagi Yoshin Ryu Jutaijutsu refers to the High
Tree, Raised Heart School. In addition, the curriculum includes the study of
the mind power of the immovable esoteric Buddhist deity, Fudō Myō-ō—the
Brilliant Light King as well as the experiential and ascetic practice of Shugendō—“way
of mastering power.”
